Which Age Group is the Most Vulnerable to Cervical Cancer?
According to the statistics provided by MSD, women aged from 20 to 70 are at risk of cervical cancer. Indeed, the cancer occurs in younger age groups recently.
In general, the median age of incidence for cervical cancer is 50. Women aged between 26-30 and 46-55 are the most vulnerable to HPV (age group of 26-30 is sexually active, and age of 46-55 is near to menopause which may lead to reduced immunity function.
Although women in their 30s are less vulnerable to HPV, they may suffer from prolonged infection if they get the virus. Thud, their risk of precancerous cervical lesions and cervical cancer is significantly increased.
